So I found out today that the latest Artist-D Pro's came with a plastic cross member that links the two vertical extrusions at the top of the printer. This model is for the bearing block that comes on the earlier versions. This will allow you to use a 2040 extrusion in place of the plastic junk. The 2040 extrusion at the top appears to be 32cm in length for those wishing to replace the plastic piece. Each end of the brace is tapped for a 4mm bolt. The verticals have corresponding holes drilled through them for the bolts.
