The JJCCR ships with M8 Metric backplate bolts that are great, but.. far less available off the shelf here in the US and Canada. So, lose one too many wingnuts, and you're hooped. On replacing mine with SAE 5/16 backplate bolts, you may find that the square part of the carriage bolts do not "nicely" fit the machined delrin retainers that came with the M8 factory bolts. These fit snug to the bolts I got off the shelf at Home Depot. 8.2mm square. I've also thickened them to add some additional rigidity, since 3d printed Nylon is not as rigid as the machined Delrin parts supplied by JJ. In addition, my OCD will not allow the galvanic corrosion from the thick factory washers in that little circular recess to continue to go on any longer. So I made up some little cups, also printed in Nylon for now that the washer snap into and then click into place around the bolts. This likely adds nothing whatsoever to the system. But it stops my brain from seeing it and accusing me of doing nothing about it every time I tear down my unit. Just toss the washers you say? I get it, they do nothing...but.. but.. then it won't be "complete".
