JLB Racing Cheetah Differential Gearbox Stiffener

JLB Racing Cheetah Differential Gearbox Stiffener

The differential gearbox housings of the JLB Racing Cheetah truggy is just not stiff enough. So the gear mesh is way off during heavy torque load. The sinter pressed steel bevel gears don't like that and crack. To make the bevel gears less brittle, I recommend to put them in your oven for about 30 minutes @ 250°C. They should be blue on their surfaces afterward. And they will be a bit softer and less brittle! But how can the housing be stiffened? Well, just 3D print the stiffener in PLA with 0.3mm sheet thickness and 100% infill. Then screw and glue (with two component glue) it to the gearbox housing.
