JML Bowden carriage mod for the Wanhao i3 Duplicator

This is a x-carriage for the Wanhao i3, i have spent a long time designing this and printed many test pieces to get it as clean and light as possible, The reason for designing and printing this is the whole new carriage with all accessories weights less than the extruder alone (only 165 grams as apposed to 220 grams for the extruder alone), and i didnt like all that weight swinging back and forth causing inertia problems, All the extras you will need are, 1xM5x40mm with nut 4xM4x20mm with nuts 1xM4x15mm no nut 1x Blower fan I also replaced the carriage belt as i had some spare... I have given you the option to chose a height of the hotend of a +- of 2mm, this will give you many options for glass bed or having tighter springs on your bed The fan shroud......i made it fairly tight fitting around the hotend, as i have my hotend covered i dont get much heat radiating causing problems with the fan shroud, if this does cause a problem for some people i will add another version leaving a bigger gap. Fitting First off add M4 nut to the back carriage before adding the fan shroud, fit the fan shroud to the back carriage using the M4x15mm, then add the blower fan using the M4x20mm, add all this to the carriage bearings, feed the belt into the groves on the left, on the right feed the belt through the small opening, add the M5 nut to the Tension clip then place on top of the belt, ensuring the clip is tight to the right hand of the carriage and the belt is hand tight, then add the M5 screw, tighten fairly tight, you dont want this too tight, just enough so you can still squeeze the belt together in the middle, grab the front carriage and add the 2xM4 nuts to the sides, pushing all the way in, add the front carriage to the back carriage and screw tight with the M5x20mm screw, add the +-2mm bracket with it faced so the bowden hotend is in the highest position and screw tight with the 2xM4x20mm screws, then using the existing screws add the stopper to the top left If you are using a glass bed take it off, then set home, see the gap you have, add the glass bed then use the various brackets till to get the height your happy with
