If you own a John Deere 1 series TLB or FILB tractor and your like me, you find the seat belt setup frustrating and annoying. If you leave them up and tighten them down, you can't turn the seat around. But if you leave them loose, they flop around and damage the inside of your fenders, and your levers. So the trick is to leave them just loose enough so they can be moved around, but yet stay in place without falling. Problem is, over time they come loose and fall down anyway if you don't lock them down super tight. Which takes you back to the first problem again! So this is my attempt at a fix for this. These stops simply slide over the seat belt bracket, and you bolt the seat belt through them. The 180° flat edge stops the seat belt from rotating any further than necessary. This will require slightly longer bolts. Or you can just do what I did for now and turn your nylon lock nut around and thread it on with a washer. Now you can have a free moving seat belt without it damaging your tractor, or getting in the way of turning the seat around. Plus you can still use your seat belt if you wish! I had one of these stops slide on perfect on one side, and the other required a bit of force. Probably variances in the metal bracket itself, or the paint on the bracket could be thicker in different spots. But they both did fit my 1025r TLB perfectly fine. These are a trial and error kind of design, so only time will tell if this is a good fix or not. Enjoy!
