John Hammond's Cane from Jurassic Park

This is John Hammond's amber and bone cane from the movie Jurassic Park. The reason for the "V2" on each file name is because I made an earlier and uglier one that I didn't publish. Youtubers Peter Brown and pocket83 made collaboration videos about making the cane from the movie. Even if you don't make the cane I would strongly suggest that you watch their videos before reading the rest of this and watch them because of how entertaining they are. I modeled this because I didn't have a lathe, so I used the 3d-printed parts in place of the lathed wooden body. You can make the amber topper, like myself, using a plastic egg and some polyester resin. Apart from that you only need to connect the parts together with a piece of 3/8" all-thread or a dowel rod depending on whether you want an actual cane or a display prop. I would print the parts at about 3-5% larger to accommodate for shrinkage. And again I would check out Peter Brown and pocket83's videos even if you don't make this.
