Jointed Cogbot

Jointed Cogbot

Hi this is the first thing I'm uploading, he's my little desktop robot I modelled him after the maker fair robot which I had downloaded and tried to print but the print failed as the joints all ended up fused solid so I designed my own that could be printer in parts and then assembled so the joints would all work. I recommend printing with supports for everything but the body. A small note depending on your printer it may be necessary to either sand the rods or drill the joint holes out a little if done right then no glue should be needed to hold the pins in place, the head and arms just click in. Instructions Print the body then the pins. Then print the legs. Assemble the legs first by attaching the feet to the shins then connect the shins to the upper leg finally connect the legs to the body with the long pin. For the arms start with the hands at the wrists with the thinnest rods then move up to the upper arm parts these attach with pins like the rest, finally the upper arms connect with a simple push fit connection. The head is another push fit connection that just clips in place Finally the key just plugs in the back.
