Joy Con Thumbstick Cover - Push On

These are a simple joystick covers for your Nintendo Switch Joy Cons. My ultimate goal for these is to sand and paint them, and as such they can be a little rough of your thumbs, but I am used to playing with metal joysticks so they are fine for me. I am going to try standard spray paint as well as plastidip and see which is more comfortable. I printed them with supports and with the bottom of the cover flat on the print bed. Here is the feature list/issues that I was trying to solve when making them. -Simple push on design with a snug fit that does not allow the cover to wiggle or turn independent of the joystick. -Enlarges the joystick only slightly while protruding no lower that the original joystick to still allow for full mobility of the joystick, while making it easier to grip and maneuver. -Fashioned after a ps4 joystick with the convex hump in the middle followed by a large ridge on the outside. I also added 6 notched around the outside to give better grip when rolling your thumb around the outside. This design provides a better interior and exterior surface and grip on the joystick that the original model. -Protect your joystick surface allowing you to simply replace the cover instead of the joystick. Print Settings Printer: MP Select Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: I printed them with supports and with the bottom of the cover flat on the print bed. Post-Printing Sanding and Painting The darker purple covers were sanded with 120 grit sandpaper, then 400 grit sandpaper, primed (2 coats), painted (2 purple coats, and the misting with black) then clear coated (4 coats). Message me if you have questions on the painting process.
