Joycon Rail Mockup

Joycon Rail Mockup

thingiverse

This is an extremely basic model of the Nintendo Switch Joycon rails. In Rhino, it's helpful to have this to model around if you're doing a Joycon holster/similar so you can just run a BooleanDifference to get the slots that you need. Available in both .3dm and .stl formats. In the .3dm, everything is saved as separate polysurfaces. The rail is a smidge deeper than necessary, but as far as friction-fit gear goes, it has worked fine. This does get the average thickness of the Joycon, but does not have the bulge towards the ZR/ZL buttons, nor the chamfering used since it's just for the rails. If you want to remix it with those on there, let me know because I'd love to use the remix for other controllers.
