Rookies (when sufficiently talented) are like diamonds in the rough, hence the idea was to to make this car look rough, simplistic even - just like the vehicles mentioned in the challenge's guidelines.A few explanations:- Why cover a beautiful engine with an expressionless carbon-fiber plate? It's a work of art, it should be displayed!(However, cleaning it would be a nightmare, i know i personally wouldn't want to polish it after every drive, so i'd opt for a removable acrylic cover (keeps the motor visible, yet out of rain and dust).)- I couldn't resist adding a slightly retro yet undeniably American touch - classical bullet headlights. To make them more modern and interesting they could swing back 90° to store themselves (like 'pop-up lights' except that these "pop" forward).- The graphic on the doors represents a fortress' (rook) parapet, lying on top of a racing flag. It's a word play on the car's name.
