I received a new backpack for my quadcopters and accessories and I needed to shrink my controller footprint to fit everything. I was using a hardcase with foam but it added too much space. However, I have broken switches before so I wanted to make sure my gimbals and switches were well protected. I created these parts and connected them with 5mm elastic cord (Purchased from WalMart - "Hyper Tough 10-Pack Canopy Tie Set" from the automotive section). Printed in TPU to have some flexibility but also provide support/protection. Parts list: 1x Bottom Piece 1x Gimbal + Face switches cover 2x Unions to connect gimbal cover to the elastic cords running down the sides 2x Shoulder covers *NOTE* I only have the "RightShoulder" STL file attached. I use DesignSpark and they don't have an easy way to mirror 3D objects (as far as I know, if I'm wrong please teach me!). Rather than design the part twice I just mirror it in my slicer to print the left side. I tied the elastic so when it was loose it was about half the length it would be when installed. This provided a good amount of tension when installing on the controller.
