The human body is a remarkable machine that is capable of performing a wide range of functions without our even thinking about it. The heart beats around 100,000 times per day, pumping blood through the veins and arteries to deliver oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body. At the same time, the lungs are taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide through the process of breathing. The brain is processing information from our senses, controlling movement and maintaining balance, all while keeping us awake and alert when we need to be. And yet, despite its incredible capabilities, the human body is also fragile and susceptible to injury or illness if it is not properly cared for.
