16 pitch gears that mesh with the standard K'nex gears. I created these to make a clock which required specific ratios. To use, pair gears with a sum of 48 teeth on the smallest center to center gear setup (two connectors with a green/black rod). For example, to achieve a 1:2 gear down, make a 16 and 32 tooth gear. Or make a 12/36 to get 1:3. Or make a 8/40 to get 1:5. Using these ratios, you can get the 1:60 gear down needed to make a clock. I also made a 35 tooth gear by cheating a little; pair it with a standard blue gear, 14-teeth to achieve a 14/35 which is 1:2.5 or 2:5. I used this with an 8-paddle escapement gear to get 8 x 2.5 x 3 = 60 seconds per revolution of the second hand.
