K'NEX Spool Holder Adapters

These are a great reason to pull out your old K'NEX and put them to use as a spool holder! They're especially useful if you don't want to have the weight of a spool hanging from your machine, or if you want to have a spool tower to hold all your filament at once! Derived from [AngryHulk's Spool Holder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4834202). The 3 variations are: - *KNEX Inline Holder*: This basic, lightweight holder has the adapter sit in line with the rods on the side. When using this, you won't be able to take the spool holder off if you have a rod directly above it. - *KNEX Offset Holder*: Unlike the one above, this adapter has an offset applied so that you can easily change out the spool holder. - *KNEX Attentive Offset Holder*: This adapter provides additional ways to support the weight of the filament spool, including being able to secure it from the back with a yellow connector (using two green rods) or with a blue rod (secured with 2 gray connectors). The weight of a full 1 Kg Spool will angle the spool holder down slightly. I haven't had any issues with it though. Here are some tips: - If using purple connectors, be sure to orient them exactly as I have in the pictures, as that will hold the adapter securely. - The *KNEX Attentive Offset Holder* has additional ways to provide support. Consider using two adapters back-to-back and having them pull on each other from the back. Also, putting white rods in the diagonal holes will provide additional support even if nothing is connected to them in the center. - Position the spool as close to the adapter as possible. If your spool wants to slide away, consider using my [Spool Holder Anti-Slide derivative - Thing 5905038](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5905038), which adds a ridge to the spindle. **Print Settings** I recommend printing these on their back side, although I have printed *KNEX Inline Holder* and *KNEX Offset Holder* variations vertically without issue. If you want to print it vertically, you may want to add a brim. No supports: the Attentive Offset Holder has some overhangs, but it printed fine for me. Wall thickness: 3 lines. This may also have helped with the overhangs printing nicely. You could probably get by with 2.
