K40 Air Assist - Side Inlet

<p>This is an air assist nozzle for a K40 Chinese laser cutter, based on the original model by VanBot112 and the remixed version by Venomouse. I changed the air inlet so that it comes in from the side because I'm using the <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:890705">positioning laser mount by Crashoverride</a> which blocks the air tube coming in.</p> <p>I didn't want to use the standard "over the laser" style air assist nozzles (venturi effect is bad, m'kay?), and I think this is the best alternate design that I've seen.</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Hictop 3DP-11</p> <p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>Doesn't Matter</p></div> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>0.2mm</p></div> <p><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>40%</p> <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>I've printed this most successfully without any support on the tube inlet or the air outlet - I found that the support in these areas is too difficult to remove.
