K40 Honeycomb Laser Bed

K40 Honeycomb Laser Bed

thingiverse

This is a work in progress to create parts that when combined can support a motorized, honeycomb z-bed for the common K40 laser cutter using a Makerbot Replicator 2 using PLA at a high printing rate. Currently, only parts for supports across the bottom exist, with parts for supporting the sides still being developed. Considering PLA is far from impervious to lasers (even cheap 40W ones), I recommend that this design be used with caution. It's still in the early stages design-wise and I'm really just posting this here so I'll have access to it from other computers.
