I made huge cleanup of K40 laser. I need to adjust laser path after that and I'd like to use a safe laser pointer for such work before I load 40W of laser power into it.

So I designed these little disks for holding small laser pointer in as exact center of tube space as possible. Think is designed for 10mm laser pointer, same type which is used in these machines.

You need print one piece with a hole, which in bracket close to the first mirror. Then you will need two pieces of laser pointer holders which are mounted together in the second bracket.

After powering of laser pointer you need to adjust the beam of the pointer to hole in the first piece.

Now you could safely play around with mirror alignment until you are happy with that. This method didn't provide final most accurate alignment. But you will get a really good starting point for safer work with real laser tube.

It worked for me on the first try as a miracle.
