K8200 Case / Enclosure

Hello world! This is an idea for an enclosure for your 3D Printer. The advantages are the same for all printers without an enclosure. I made it using 40mm styrodur plates. These are very easy to cut. To put them together I used two-sided tape and standard screws for wood. On the left side there are the front-door hinges, the window in the door is a glass-plate from an old picture frame. There's also an opening to access the z-axis and the adjustment. Here the advantages of an enclosure: My heated bed now reaches 110°C (95°C before) The noise reduced really much, the printer is next to my bed and now it's possible to sleep without earplugs. The temperatur inside the enclosure is much higher than room temperature, what is a great help for printing ABS (cause the layers have less temp difference => at least less warping, in my case I don't have warping anymore) It's easier to mount a fume extractor (important for ABS) cause the fume can be lead systematically, you can mount my filter (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:798506) on the upper stabilzer bar. The print results with my K8200 are now really amazing! My changes on my printer: Z-Axis Upgrade (K8204, ~60 Euro), E3D v6 Hotend (~55 Euro), a really great new z-axis motor mount (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:144813) and the better z-axis adjustment (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:229328). Stay awesome & keep printing!
