Kailh Choc Opener

Kailh Choc Opener

This is a little tool to help open Kailh Choc switches. There's just enough stretch on the tabs that they open but, should not be enough that they break. To use it, place the switch on the opener base then carefully lower the lid onto the top. Then, press lightly until the switch clicks open. Inside the lid there are inset areas that push the bottom of the switch housing onto the base and force the 4 small tabs under the switch top housing tabs to release them. I've made a single switch version and a 10 switch strip version that allows opening multiple switches faster. Due to the needed play in the lid, I don't think a lid with 10 sections would work but, you could use multiple lids. The base is spaced to allow for the lids to rest side-by-side. Take a look at my bad cell phone video for one-handed Choc opening action: https://youtu.be/M1kSxF11tRA If you like this, consider buying me a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/os85iXz If you make this or improve it, please, share your print or design! I printed this at .1 layer height with a stock Ender 5 .4mm nozzle. I would love to see the base printed with a smaller nozzle or in resin. I used ESUN PLA+.
