I downloaded and printed the Kalip Drill Press, but struggled to get it to fit my Dremel 4000 to my liking. So I decided to modify the mounts. My tool of choice is Openscad, but was having issues with the original stl files and mesh (except for the gear). Next choice was the build the parts from scratch. The nose_clamp was changed to use a 3/4 by 12 thread so the dremel could be screwed in snuggly. But then the body_clamp was way too tight to allow the dremel to be rotated, so I redesigned one that would allow enough clearance to rotate it before tightening the front pinch clip to hold it all in place. That worked fine, but the handle to pull the drill gear around kept slipping, so time for another change. I made the gear wheel wider for better support, then drilled a hole towards the center 6mm threaded rod for a 4 mm bolt. At the point it made contact with the rod, I filed it flat, reinstalled and tightened the 4mm bolt so the gear wouldnt rotate around the 6mm rod. I am almost ready to do a real test with drilling my home made PCB boards.
