KALLAX Book Ends

KALLAX Book Ends

These are a first go at some basic book-ends for our KALLAX. We have a number of books for our daughter, and the were starting to easily fall off or tip over. This was a quick project to help prevent any potential falling-book accidents. The main goal was simplicity, so you just use the existing screws/hardware to put the bookend in place and it's reasonably sturdy. I would like to point out that there are some issues; specifically to prevent the rotation of the bookends you need to have the screws fairly snug against the bookends mounting point. this does cause some warping of the material (due the pressure from the screw), and it's very easy to create cracks between the screw hold and the supports. That said it prints pretty quickly and I hope people can improve on the design. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .15mm Infill: 10% Notes: I've noticed a bit better consistency by having the build plate temp to 64 degrees F. The default temp is 60 degrees F (if I recall correctly), but other than that it seems to print fairly quickly and consistently. If you are using Cura using the "Low Quality" settings and adjusting the built plate temp to the aforementioned 64 degrees F.
