Kanom Thai // Thai Desserts

My entry for the #LowPolyDessertChallenge ! This was a super fun challenge and it was hard not to constantly snack working on it. Not many people know but I’m actually half Thai on my mother’s side. I thought I’d share some of the desserts I’ve had growing up that might not be familiar to people. Desserts: Kanom Sai Sai - Inside the banana leaf pyramid and is made of coconut and palm sugar. Kanom Tom - Chewy coconut balls (pink and green) with coconut flakes. Kanom Bueang - Type of crispy pancake/crepe with coconut cream and toppings. Kanom Tako - Thai pudding/jelly with coconut cream topping. Usually has corn (but there are other variations) and is held in little banana leaf square.
