Kapton Tape Tool

Used to help apply kapton tape to a glass build plate. I uploaded a .stl file, but you don't want to print one. Use foamboard or wood. Instructions This tool is very useful. It allows you to align the tape and apply it without bubbles. I made mine out of foamboard. It just needs to be thicker than the glass. I put kapton tape on the ends to give the tape something to stick to that would not tear the foamboard. Stretch kapton tape between the ends. Work with it until it is even on all four corners. With the glass build plate on a flat surface, put the tool over it and align the tape where you want it. It should not be touching the glass. Use a credit card and start in the middle and push the tape on the glass. From the middle to the edge. Use an exato knife to cut the tape along the edge of the glass. Outside dimensions 305mm x 15mm. Inner dimensions 230mm x 115mm.
