<h3>Description</h3><p>A customizable Karate badge that can be used as medal, keychain, or for other purposes. It looks best if printed in two colors, with a white base plate and black letters and outline. You can customize all text and characters.</p><h3>OpenSCAD customization</h3><p>The <a href="http://openscad.org">OpenSCAD</a> file lets you change the relevant parameters, i.e. the two text lines and the middle characters. Just replace “Sports Club” with your name. You can also change fonts and use other languages or even symbols in the middle part. The <a href="https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/OpenSCAD_User_Manual/Text#Using_Fonts_&amp;_Styles">OpenSCAD manual explains how to include fonts</a>. Be aware that changing the text and the fonts may require you to try out some other values for the remaining variables (e.g. font size and numbers for positioning the characters). This can be a bit tricky if you change a lot (e.g. very few or many more characters).</p><h4>Printing Hints</h4><p>The original model is rather small (approx. 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 cm). I recommend to finalize your design in OpenSCAD and then increase the model in the slicer according to your preferences.</p><p>I print two-colored models on the PRUSA Mini+ using the filament change feature in the PrusaSlicer. Just add a filament change when the first layer of the text begins to print. I recommend white for the base plate and black for the text.</p><h4>Cost &amp; Time</h4><p>The model is cheap and quick to print. The PLA cost (with Prusament PLA) estimate is 0.07€. Print time of the original model is estimated to be 12 minutes. These values may vary when you adjust the model in size and volume.</p>
