I make this seat with regarding to possibility to adapt many types of kayaks and also with possibility to adapt to the customer requirements. The whole backboard is foldable and next you can move only with backboard, there is five positions and another six positions of tilt. Also you can move with the seat at the 3 positions- to provide good lifetime I used screwing inserts, so the screw is not in the plastic. It is providing lifetime and you can move with the seat if you want. I adjust the all plastic parts on the seat to the plastic injection moulding. Because this type of production is much faster than all other types of production. Also I adjust the parts to easier production and it means cheaper mould for these parts. I guess price for injection mould about 250.000€, now it seems very high price, but it will provide quality parts and also can be garantee 1.000.000 parts for each mould. When we count it to the each part from one million it is just 0,25€ mould price on one part and it sounds better, is not it? Also you can make variety colours according to the customer requirements, so you can provide better services. For seat and backboard I proposes use material polycarbonate with 10% glass fiber - it will provide higher toughness and tough. Also the parts from PC with 10% glass fiber can be easy high gloss polished - without the problem during the production. For the frame on which is screwed the seat and for backboard holder I propose use material PA 6.6 with 50% glass fiber. This material can compete to Aluminium, but it is much more lighter, cheaper and also much more easier for parts production. The soft material on seat and backboard is PUR- it is a standard material which is using right now. It can provide good comfort to the customer. All other parts, like tap, screws, tubes and screwing inserts are from the stainless steel 1.4301, other way can be used a cheaper muterial but it will need a zinc or other surface finishing. I made a very basic simulation study, but if you want to produce this seat, is necessary to make a new one and in case of problems we can discusse about adjusting the parts.
