Update: I added a one piece bracket that has been cleaned up a bit. Having the split clamp did not seem to give any huge advantage. I'm DIY'ing a mount for my kayak fish finder transducer. This clamp is intended to hold 1/2" schedule 40 electrical conduit available at Lowes or Home Depot in your Kayak's gear track, I'm using a 90 degree curved piece and a short extension for the transducer arm. The mount is designed to allow for a small rubber strip to be glued to the bottom of the clamp to act as friction material for the PVC while allowing the transducer to pivot if you hit an obstacle. I'm going to use a standard stainless steel 1/4 bolt on one side and a stainless bolt with an adjustment knob on the other so I can easily swing the transducer up and out of the way when coming ashore.
