KDK Desk Fan Lock Nut/Spinner

KDK Desk Fan Lock Nut/Spinner

Quick and dirty locking knob for a KDK desk fan. This doesn't follow the appearance of the original as I just modelled the thread and mashed it into a knob I designed for different project for a quick and easy 3D print. Printed in PETG to reduce creep/cold flow deformation. Also fits Panasonic branded fans and probably many others. These fans use some kind of weird 8mm diameter 2mm pitch trapezoidal reverse/left hand thread. I suspect that the left hand thread is the downfall of many of these locking knobs. I've included the step file so you can modify it to make it look more like the original, if that is important to you, or in case the thread length is too short for your fan (you could just open up a hole to let the excess motor shaft protrude). It just fits nicely for my KDK desk fan.
