Keurig 2.0 Drip Tray Riser

Keurig 2.0 Drip Tray Riser

After our previous Keurig machine died, we replaced it with a new 2.0 version. My wife discovered that her large thermal tumblers would no long fit under the brew spout (even with the drip tray removed), as the new machine was shorter. She purchased the Keurig base with the drawer to raise the machine up higher. This doesn't actually give you any more clearance, as Keurig's intention is that you still have the drip tray resting on this base. You can, however, position the brewer on the edge to gain more clearance. If you do this, though, you can't use the drip tray as it doesn't have any support underneath. The solution was to design a riser for the drip tray that can rest against the side of the drawer base and support the drip tray. Now my shorter mugs are at the right brewing height, and she can just slide the drip tray with riser out of the way for her tall tumblers. Note that if you're using something else to raise your brewer, this should still work - just scale the vertical Z axis (and ONLY the Z axis) appropriately. The model is currently set for a height of 98mm. PLA should be fine for this, as it's unlikely you're getting very much hot coffee on it. March 26, 2018 - Replaced with 2.1 version. Lines up slightly better, and the holes for the original Keurig drip try now extend through the entire riser. This should allow it to work better when scaled vertically for different heights, if you have your brewer on a different base than the Keurig-brand drawer base.
