Like many people we have some doors with warded locks which just don't look good and could be hard to operate by children, elder peolple and people with disabilities. So I decided to design this little helper.

You are free to modify it, here's a link to Tinkercad:
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/i1eHGwAUfJy
But please mind the licence agreement. :-)

Print Settings

Printer:

Anycubic i3 Mega

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

25%

Notes:

DON'T PRINT THE "fully assembled" FILE! It's just for viewing purposes.
* The key enlarger should be sturdy enough with not more than 25% infill

Flip the design 180° before printing (opening downwards), so you won't see the residues of the removed support on the outside afterwards

Post-Printing

Remove the support thoroughly so the key will fit into the casing

Use flat headed screws, size should be around 2,5x10mm

Turn!

How I Designed This

So this is how it startet. I measured my key in the cellar and started designing this right awy in Tinkercad using some basic forms.

Category: Household
