I just needed the key, not the circuit, and the original shell was too bulky and heavy so I made this shell. However, I do not recommend opening and closing the key many times as the **pins** may **break**. To overcome this problem you can print the version with the screw. ### How to assemble Take aparte the original shell and remove the metal key keeping the round part as seen in the last photo (the key will form a "P" shape). Remove the spring and pin as we will not use them. After printing both parts, we can insert the key ("P" shape) into the pins. Glue the two parts together. ### How to print Print any version with the pin facing up so it doesn't need supports. ### Versions - *Key_Case_v1* : First draft version. It has various problems: pins are too large and the key can't fits (I tried to sand them to reduce the diameter and it kinda woked, but after few open-close of the key, the pins broke); the internal part obstructed the movement of the key - *Key_Case_v2* : Improved version of the previous one. It has reduced pins diameter - *Key_Case_v2_Screw* : Same as *Key_Case_v2* but it has a hole through the pins. You can screw in a screw with a bolt to secure the key (as the plastic pins may break) - *Key_Case_v2_NoLogo* and *Key_Case_v2_NoLogo_Screw* : Same as the previous ones but they don't have the Renault logo ### External project used To make the Renault logo i used a part of this project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4288576 ### Donation If my work has helped you, consider buy me a coffee (I prefer it espresso :3).
