Keychain Holder Designed to Not Move Device Description and Problem Keychain Holder Solves A keychain holder is a device that is often hung up on the wall and a keychain holder has hooks that are used to hang keychains on. I currently own keychain holder that is mounted inside my bathroom and I notice the keychain holder is mounted using a string. Having keychain holder mounted with string causes issues with the keychain holder to fall over off into my sink counter in bathroom. I also felt the hooks on the keychain holder didn’t well enough because the design didn’t included the correct size and shape to keep my keychains on the keychain holder. The keychain holder that I made in lab is costs 1.97$ USD and can be made in seven hours using a high quality print setting with the printer used in lab. I bought my keychain holder for around seven dollars and it makes sense to print a replacement for a reasonable price. I redesigned the keychain holder to have slimmer and sleeker dimensions than the keychain holder that I currently own (the design also helps keep the keychain holder surface from wearing down as well). Instead of using a string to mount the keychain holder to the wall I increased the size of the frame so that tacks can be placed in the upper inside edges of the frame tightly to prevent the chain holder from moving around on the wall. Printing Details To account for parts that extrude out the frame I included supports to prevent having a misshaping or warping from printing. I used fillets and chamfers and fillets on all the all the sharp edges of the design to prevent the part from warping in printing process. The chamfers on all the edges add style as well San Jose State University (SJSU) logos on the Keychain holder. Wh I also included a raft at on the bottom surface of the part to ensure that no unexpected detachment occurs when printing the file. When creating the file in fusion 360 I created all the dimensions in inches on my stl. file and converted the dimensions to mm open the file in Ideamaker. When designing part I designed to be printed on the Raised3D N2 plus FFF printer that were using in class. The Keychain holder part is designed to be using in normal room temperature conditions in a typical household bathroom. I used used typical fill levels and shape setting specified in high quality printing settings converted the Ideamaker file to g-code so it is ready for printing.
