In ancient Egypt, warriors wielded the khopesh, a unique sword-axe hybrid with its center of gravity near the edge for optimal shield-smashing and ground-finishing capabilities. The blade's hook could ensnare enemy shields and legs, as well as deliver lethal stabs. This weapon is replicated in the series Elementary.
