Kick drum trigger

Kick drum trigger

thingiverse

This is a design for a drum trigger for a bass / kick drum. You'd need some soldering skills and a piezo element to get it to work with a drum computer. Instructions The design is in OpenScad, so it can easily be adjusted. The clamp has a slight curvature set up for a 22" bass drum. The piezo is attached to the clamp with a piece of double sided foam tape. I've chosen to use a metal M6 nut 'n bolt instead of printing a bolt and thread, but that's mostly because I suspected the thread wouldn't print nicely because of the sideways orientation. I've used some packing foam to avoid scratching the expensive laquer. For firmness I've used a slightly higher density than default (30%). The color is a coincidence and not intended to match a certain brand of drum triggers; it just happened to be in my printer at the time.
