#Kids crutches (toy, roleplay) ![result](https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/08/5b/30/88/71/all_low.jpg) # Scope My kids love to play "broken leg". So they found my old crutches but they where to huge for them... As a result I designed those crutches for them. # THOSE CRUTCHES ARE NEITHER MEDICAL DEVICES NOR (tested) TOYS FOR KIDS. #Safety and usage When you print and hand them over to your kids, keep always an eye on them. The crutches may break, or the user may fall! #USE ONLY ON OWN RISK! # How to build 1. forearm (upper) part can be printed in PLA. Use heavy infill >50% for stability * there are 2 versions of the forearm-part, 80mm diameter and 70mm diameter (I suggest the 70mm, as my first version was the 80mm and for my kids its a little too loose 2. handle can be printe in PLA. Use heavy infill >60% for stability. the handle must be able to handle the whole weight of the user. Test it with 50% weight overload to ensure stability before handing it to kids 3. bumper: Print it with flex e.g. TPU and use "parallel" infill 10% - 20% to keep fexibility 4. use a 20mm wooden round bar and cut it to the right length. Tip: plug to the handle to evaluate the right lengths There is no glue neede as all junctions are tight fits but using some glue is good practice as the junctions may be loosening over time #printing tips + print the handle with the flat towards printbed and use a >3mm brim + print the upper forearm part upside down with a >3mm brim
