Kids Lace Shoes Velcro Adapter

I know a toddler who needs orthotic ankle braces that fit into shoes. None of the velcro shoes for kids had velcro long enough to go all the way over the orthotic and still connect to the other side of the velcro. So he had to get lace-up shoes, but obviously he cannot tie them himself. I came up with this to allow him to use velcro on his lace-up shoes and put them on himself. Used just the Klots 3 strip and added a place for the velcro strip.
