Reading this article from 2019 i found of some nice upgrades for my Kinect. USB only…. Yes please. No more bulky wires and a 12v wall adapter…. Yes please. So i said to myself im IN.So I have made a case for it and it also incorporates all screws from the original enclosure. It also uses the little retaining bracket that holds the little acrylic lens protection circles. For the hardware side please follow this writeup from the original article I got the idea from. You also need to cut the metal holding brackets on each side for it to fit the new enclosure.Be sure not to damage the PCB. I wrapped mine in tape before I cut. Cut as close to the PCB as you can.The PCB attaches to the back plate which includes a USB type B hole. I do like industrial design so that is why I chose the USB type B. It is also hard to pull out by accident. In the files, there is a handle bracket. You can add any type of handle to it. I added 2 handles I liked and they are included.I added this to the cameras and accessories contest. Its technically a camera right.
