Hi, This is my very first design for kinetic sculpture. The design is inspired by David C. Roy. video link: https://youtu.be/zFrTlWlbVjI video of how it works: https://youtu.be/t54hPWsipkI video of how to get spring from measuring tape: https://youtu.be/FElXXzynPnI -8mm diameter shaft that is about 10cm long (M8 should work too but it will be less efficient) -3X(4 for more stability) ball bearing 608z/608zz or equivalent , ceramics/hybrid bearing is preferred but not a requirement (switching to hybrid bearings increase run time by 20% in my case) -1X constant force spring (I get mine from a 5m tape measure which costs about 1.50 USD) (All screws below are socket head cap screws) -M4 12+mm long X3 or X5 (see note below) -M3 8mm long X10 or X22 (see note below) -M3 12+mm long X4 -M3 16mm long X8 -M8 32+mm long X1(for securing the spring) -M3 washer X9 -M8 washer X8+ (could print it instead, but more friction may apply) Printed parts: one of each STL file if not mentioned below. -break2 X2, X4 or X6 (see note below) -deco_ring X2 -wing X24 or (wing_split_partA + wing_split_partB) X24 -center_piece/center_piece90d/center_piece60d choose one(see note below) NOTE: There are 3 options for center_piece: original(180 degree), 90 degree, and 60 degree. The only difference is that each time the spring is triggered, it will turn 180, 90, or 60 degree. Its all depending on how strong your spring is or how fast you want it to turn. 180 degree releases the most force(speed). printed part "spring_holder" and "spring_axle" may not apply for your spring, it is more than likely that you will need to design your own holder giving that spring comes in different sizes and ways to secure.
