2022-12-05: Update to the mini fender, I noticed after riding a lot in dirty conditions that small pieces of gravels and sand could get in between the fender and the battery shell and cause rubbing, I have now reduced the contact area so that there is more space between the fender and the battery shell, a side effect of this change is that the fender is now also easier to print and install. Dirt protection system made for King Song S22 CNC sliders 4 Wheel Version (Alexander Vodnev, MyEwheel etc.), it will not work on 6 or 8 wheel version as those are longer and the fender is not designed for those dimensions, I only have 4 wheel version so I can not design this system for anything else. This system is made out of a ecosystem of parts to keep dirt out of the system. Mini Fenders - Two fenders, one in the front one in the back, keeps dirt from splashing into the channel above the sliders. Channel Plugs - Four of them, one in each channel at the top of the channel, works in tandem with the fenders to keep dirt outside. Slider Plugs - 8 total, 2 per slider, one at the top and one at the bottom, bottom one will prevent dirt from coming in from the bottom and top one pushes away any potential dirt/dust that would get in despite fenders and channel plugs. Slider plugs are slightly smaller than the channels as to not produce any friction. Printing: S22_CNC_Mini_Fender.stl - Print 2 of these, one for the front one for the back, can be printed in PLA or similar rigid material, does not have to be strong as they are really not under any stress, infill is not super important I use 30% Grid. Don't use more than 0.5mm line width as some areas of this part is only 1mm thick and precision is needed. S22_Channel_Plug.stl - Print 4 of these in TPU, 1-2 perimeters/walls, 15% Cubc infill, does not need to be strong or durable they just need to sit in the channels and block dirt. S22_CNC_Slider_Plug.stl - Print 8 of these, 2 per slider, use 2 walls/perimeters/layers and 10% lines infill or thereabout, these should be soft so they don't interfere or cause any friction with anything purpose is just to push or block dirt whenever necessary. Installation: It's best to install everything as you install the CNC sliders so you don't have to take things apart again. Mini Fenders: The fenders slides onto the sliders and sit on top of them, they can be installed without disassembling anything although it can be a bit fiddly to install the rear one due to low visibility, easier to do if the controller is removed from the top. There is a groove on the fenders that will snap in and rest just below the mudguard to hold it in place. Everything is angled as to make installation and removal easier. Mini Fenders (Optional): I put some self-adhesive EVA foam on-top of the front fender to prevent the PLA from rubbing against the motor cable. Top plugs: These are difficult to install when the wheel is fully assembled, the front ones could be pushed in from the top but the rear ones are blocked and would require some disassembly, personally I pushed mine from the bottom while the motor was pulled out. Slider Plugs: The slider plugs are simply pushed onto the top and bottom square ends of the sliders, they do not really need to be glued on as they sit pretty well with friction and will stick even more once used, once pushed into the channel with the CNC slider they will align themselves according to the channel so no need for millimeter precision when pushing them on. If your CNC sliders poke out a bit at the bottom like mine (I have my suspension high) then it's entirely possible to install the bottom plugs while wheel is assembled but naturally for the top plugs you would need to have the motor and sliders pulled out of the wheel.
