July 31, 2022 - Added a raised version of the BottomLeft because of the additional weight that the Z axis rail puts on that side that causes that side to droop lower. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So this seems to reduce the vibration noise coming up my walls which is good. Unfortunately it did not fix my print quality issues -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ready to make your life a living nightmare? As if putting on the bottom plate wasn't already hard enough for one person, you're going to wish that you never have to take off the cover again with this mod. To make your life easier, you can print base plate on a larger printer which only requires you to remove two corners rather than four to access the kp3s mainboard. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5443629 For some reason my KP3S has insane vibrations from the Y axis moving the bed, to the point where I can hear it vibrating up the walls into my upstairs bedroom. My rails seem to glide pretty smoothly, so maybe it's the stepper motor? I wanted to try squash balls to see if I can reduce the vibration as well as improving my print quality because you can clearly see vibrations on my prints on the Y axis. Will squash balls actually help? Only time will tell, still waiting for my squash balls to arrive.
