The first generation KitchenAid pasta extruder attachment (KPEXTA) had a disc holder that attached to the top of the attachment. Unfortunately, this feature was eliminated in the second generation design (KSMPEXTA), so I decided to create my own, based loosely on the original design. IMHO, this design is better because you can stand the attachment "upside-down" on top of the holder for storage.
