The Kite Karabiner is used for the storage quad line stunt/foil kites. The purpose of this carabiner would be to ensure that when the kite is being stored, the bridles of the kite do not get tangled together. In the image of the kite, the red stars indicate where the lines of the kite attach to the bridles of the kite. When the lines are detached, the loops of the bridles can be placed on the Kite Karabiner. Each bridle will have its own clip that will snap shut. By placing the bridle loops in these clips it ensures that they will not get tangled when the kite is stored. If lines stay connected to the bridle when the kite is being stored, it makes the winding of the lines more difficult because they can be come twisted. Twisted lines are a pain to undo because of their length and can decrease their strength during flight resulting in broken lines. The dimensions of the Kite Karabiner are 4.5"x5.5"x0.4". It is going to be 3D printed using a Uprint Plus by Stratasys. The material being using to print it will be ABS plastic.Creator: Adam ZiembaUniversity: Michigan State
