What is it? Keurig recently introduced their new Vue® brewing system which utilizes Vue® packs. K-Cup® packs are not compatible with the Vue® Brewer. If you bought a Vue® machine and already have a supply of K-Cup® packs, can’t find your favorite flavor in a Vue® pack or simply want the flexibility of using either Vue® or K-Cup® packs in your new brewer – Kiva is your answer! Objective: The objective of this project is to find an easy to implement and food safe additive manufacturing (Rapid Prototyping) material that will work with the current incarnation of the Kiva design. Please feel free to print out Kiva and experiment with what food safe materials work the best! Anyone should be able to easily and quickly print Kiva using easy to find food safe materials. The amount of steps needed to use Kiva should be kept at a minimum. Thanks and enjoy! Kiva Instructions: 1) Download the 3D part files. 2) Print out Kiva using any 3D printer. For best performance, Acrylic based Polymers or any other ABS Materials are recommended. 3) Locate the screw icon and arrow on the bottom of Kiva. Screw in a #6 - ¾” Stainless Steel screw into the small hole. (You can find this screw at any hardware or home improvement store) 4) Place a K cup inside Kiva and press downward to puncture the bottom of your K-Cup. 5) Place Kiva in your Keurig Vue® Brewing Machine and enjoy a great cup of coffee! 6) Only hand wash your Kiva.
