Klemens Maria Hofbauer Monument on Minoritenplatz in Vienna’s 1st district. On a high pedestal is the bust of Klemens Maria Hofbauer. The monument was unveiled in 1913, destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in 1958 by Oskar Thiede. Klemens Maria Hofbauer (1751-1820) was a Czech-Austrian priest and member of the Redemptorist order. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and is the city patron of Vienna.
