Klipsch KF-26 replacement foot

Klipsch KF-26 replacement foot

I recently purchased a set of used Klipsch KF-26 speakers. They sound great and are in very good condition but one of the pair had a broken foot (or stand, whatever you wish to name it). Of course I looked in all the usual sources and could not find one for sale. Klipsch wants a small fortune for them, **IF** you can find them in stock. And the other replacement speaker feet on Thingiverse are for different models and unfortunately are not cosmetically similar enough. So I designed these. Because one of the originals had already been broken, I designed these to be a bit more robust. Two versions are included here, differing only slightly in the curve of the large external vertical surface. One or the other may be more to your liking. I printed the first version (not the "A") and it worked just fine as a rear foot (shown in the first photo along with an OEM foot toward the front). However if you are placing it in front where it may be seen more you may want the "A" version instead. It has less of a flat facet toward the top, and that is the reason I made this version. The printed version is shown along side of an OEM version for comparison in three of the photos. Regardless of which one you print you will need to sand the outer vertical curves to smooth over the joins between facets. 240 grit wet sand paper works well for this. Then you will need to paint it to reasonably well match an OEM foot as to color and texture. Satin black enamel seemed to work best for me. I put on three coats with a light 400 grit wet sanding in between each coat and finished off with a very light scuff using a ScotchBrite pad (to get the right sheen). The screw holes line up perfectly with the OEM versions. My installation of it used the original screws. This **may** fit other models of speakers, I have no way of knowing. Of course you could always just print enough to replace them all. Be forewarned though, they do not print quickly. I hope this helps you. Thanks for looking.
