Tired of those bouncy, broken rubber OEM stalks on your turn signals? These adapter plates remove them from the equation and offer the ability to direct-mount your turn signals to the upper fairing or the rear rack, significantly reducing the chances of damage in a drop! You will need to purchase a longer self-tapping screw than the OEM, by approximately 7mm, but otherwise these drop right in! We recommend printing from PETG or painted TPU to prevent degradation from UV over the years. Installation instructions: 1) Completely remove your windshield and upper fairing (if replacing front turn signals). Take care to unclip the turn signal connectors and headlight plugs. 2) Remove the M4 x 0.7 screw from the inside of the stalk backing plate using a JIS #2. 3) Carefully pry the steel plate out of the rubber. Discard components. 4) Squeeze and remove the rubber stalk and turn signal from the upper fairing. 5) Remove the self-tapping bolt from inside the rubber stalk using a JIS #2. Separate the rubber stalk from the turn signal. Discard. 6) With the smaller side of the Adapter Plate facing the inside of the turn signal, feed the turn signal connector wire through the lower hole in the plate, and slide the upper hole over the round plastic boss on the backside of the turn signal. 7) Feed the turn signal connector wire back through the hole in the upper fairing. 8) While holding turn signal and adapter plate against the upper fairing hole, feed the turn signal wire through the lower hole in the backing plate with the ridges facing the interior of the fairing. 9) Install and tighten longer self-tapping screw through smaller hole. Be careful not to overtighten, as you will strip the plastic of the turn signal housing! 10) Done! Repeat for the other side!
