This holder is designed to hold Ohuhu Gel Ink refills and then used as a drawing tool in plotters, specifically the KNK Force. It is spring loaded to keep the refill end in contact with paper. The two halves screw together right off the printer bed. You insert a refill into the bottom half. Find a spring, Pilot G-2 works, and insert over top of refill. If spring is to weak just stretch it out until you have the tension you need, I left this length a little long. Easier to stretch then to compress. Screw on the top. I found that a little clean up is needed for the tip. Mainly because it is the end that is attached to the bed. You need to stand the parts up in your slicer program.
