Knock 3

A decimated model of a panel belonging to the group named Knock 3 from Monreith (Dumfries and Galloway). This rock displays the most complex composition of the group, with a combination of circular motifs, grooves and cups. Accompanying the natural slope of the knoll where it is located, the main panel is almost vertical and can be quite difficult to find due to growing vegetation. Furthermore it is partially sheltered by another block which only allows the sun to shine directly on the panel on occasion.
