Knurled Basics

A knurled screw head can be a tedious and time consuming piece to create, so I've added a basic knurled model for you to push/pull and scale into anything you want. The Sketchup file contains two models for you to play with. Please share and modify as you please. Instructions A knurled thumb screw is often times used when you want to finger tighten a screw, and you need a good grip. This is your basic starting point for your customization. I use this to press fit a real bolt to the center by designing it with tight tolerances. This file is not printer ready, you will need to modify it for your use. It's just the basic outline from which to start. It has a hole in the center, so you can easily pinpoint the center. The Sketchup file has two models, one is a model with all the knurls separated from the hub so you can make adjustments to the knurls alone, and the other is a solid model. Please scale to your needs and make any adjustments. Enjoy! Tom Heibel Sticky Pod
