Kobalt 40v Battery Mount - Pegboard Remix

thingiverse

This design is a remix of AddieMaker's remix of dbarthel's battery mount. I loved MKII because it looks great with the honeycomb pattern and the battery fits nicely! My issue was that I have this pegboard wall of Kobalt tools and I didn't really want to mount the holder on a stud, so I added some pegboard hooks and studs to the mount, and cut some of the top of the holder off. I also added an angled "shim" to make it easier to remove the battery and not have to lose as much space on the pegboard wall. I wanted to angle it much further, but it would take a lot more filament and be awkward. I might still do it, though, just to try it and see how it looks and functions. Unfortunately, when I printed these, my printer was far from dialed in, so there was a lot of ugliness going on (stringing mostly). I had some issues with v1, so I fixed those issues in v2, but did not print it yet, so hopefully those issues truly are fixed! Nonetheless, I included the 3mf file in addition to the stl. I also remixed the 24v battery holder with the pegboard and tilt as well and hope to have that uploaded at some point. PRINT SETTING NOTES: SUPPORTS: - Supports can be tree or standard (or custom - arch-buttress). You definitely want the strength to be in the peghook part. No more than 6% density on any support style you choose. - Support Top Distance: 0.2 - Support Roof: Enabled - Support Roof Thickness: 0.6-0.8mm - Support Roof Density: 60-80% I didn't play with the support roof density to see what is best, but I DID want a more solid base for the peghooks, so I set it to 80%. MODEL: Top/Bottom Thickness: 1.0 (5 layers) Walls: 1.6mm (4 line count) Infill: 35-45% with Cubic or 20-30% with Lines Nozzle Temp: 210 +/-4deg Print Speed: 60mm/s Build Adhesion: Brim, 10 line count I apologize if there are any bits about this that are poorly done. It works well for me, so I'm happy with it! Just wish I had Kobalt blue colored filament :)
