Kobo Mini BlueFly vario and bigger battery back case

This is a Kobo Mini back case for using with the BlueFly vario TTL GPS module. It is designed for fitting a bigger battery and features an easy to use power switch. It should be compatible with the v10, v11 and later bluefly TTL GPS versions while they maintains the same shape and components location. Works excelent. Instructions: -The case is designed for replacing the whole Kobo back case and there are two variants, one for using with the original M1.6x3mm closing screws and other for replace them by M1.6x8mm ones. -Print the parts and redrill the six screw holes with a 2mm drill for removing the self contained support layer. -Install the Bluefly module, trim and press the top cover, it should clip on but you can use some superglue drops for fix the lid (take care with the pressure sensor and dont forget the neoprene light protection). -If you want to install the improved slider switch you should cut the top plastic tab for removing the original one (see pics). -There is a hole on the bottom side, you can install a loop here and secure it to you cockpit. -.step source files has been included so you can modify and share your mods! -Extra battery notes: Replace the original 1000mAh battery cell by the new one (i use 3800mAh cell). Take care, LiPo batteries are dangerous and will produce fire if they are not managed/connected properly. Check about their connection and risks before replacing, use a self protected type one, carefully check the current and temperature during the first charges and dont leave charging unattended). Battery i used has dimensions of 3.6 x 75 x 94mm and 3800mAh capacity according to the seller specifications. -VBackup pin: On new Bluefly boards the VBackup pin has been removed, you can connect the VBackup to the main power supply of the board by soldering the two new pads. This has not much sense if you want to "auto-powering" the module with the kobo. I preffer to use the VBacup by the old way and connect the VBackup pad directly to the Kobo Mini battery (TP2). This function is optional but speed up the fix by storing the latest satellite data and preserves the GPS clock (see yellow cable on pics). -UPDATE- 12/Aug/2018 -Added BlueflyVario TTL GPS v12 version (1.5mm taller untested). -UPDATE: 18/Nov/2016 -Added new lid with "XC FLY" text (text is 0.4mm deep take care this if you want to print it in two colors like me) -UPDATE: 17/Nov/2016 -Updated battery notes (safety=single cell). -UPDATE: 02/Nov/2016 -Added back case for M1.6x8mm screws. -UPDATE: 19/May/2016 -Added extra battery and VBackup pin details.
